Making Your Application for Finance and Completing a Credit Check
Passing a credit check is a requirement for all Volvo car lease applicants. The application forms below are the standard forms our financial partners use to determine your eligibility for a financial agreement. All the decisions on suitability for finance of a car leasing agreement are made by the Lender, not Volvo Cars on Lease.
The information provided by you is used in connection to your application in the following ways:
‘Information’ means all the information and details you have given to Volvo Cars on Lease. This information you provide is passed on to our financial partners by us. Our financial partners will also receive information about you from their own investigations and explorations at various credit reference and fraud prevention organisations. This process is applicable to all applications, including business applications with directors, partners of limited companies, partnerships or incorporated associations who submit an application to lease a Volvo.
Details submitted with an application will be checked for accuracy and supporting information by our financial partner with both credit reference and fraud prevention agencies and these checks will be recorded by these agencies. Your current and previous names, addresses and dates of birth of all concerned parties will be supplied to these agencies by our financial partner to facilitate these checks. All information submitted by you about others in a joint application, must be accurate and you should seek their explicit agreement to submit their details. The credit reference and fraud protection agencies will supply our financial partner with publicly available information about you and all third parties who are financially linked to you. This public information will include data such as bankruptcies, county court judgements (CCJs), fraud prevention data, electoral role details, current and previous names, dates of birth, and addresses for you and all of your financial associates. If incorrect of falsified details are submitted and fraud is detected, this information will be passed to the appropriate fraud prevention agencies. Law enforcement bodies may be able to access and use this information.
Finance agreements should not be entered into unless you are confident you can meet all payments for the life of the agreement.
Once you have completed the appropriate application form, you should ensure you read and agree to the Customer Declaration and Data Protection Act notices before submitting the forms. Incomplete answers or data will delay the handling and final decision on your application.
If you have any queries regarding your Finance Application or require assistance to complete the form, please contact us on 0845 269 1103.
This notice applies to all applicants and (if the application is made by a limited company or partnership / unincorporated association) directors and partners. We'll check your details with credit reference and fraud prevention agencies ("the agencies") and they'll record our check and provide us with information about you. We'll tell the agencies if we think you've given false information or suspect fraud. We'll also give credit reference agencies information about how you manage your account. We and other companies will use this information to assess you and your household for: credit and credit related services; motor, household, credit, life and other insurance proposals and claims; debt tracing and recovery; prevention of fraud and money laundering; statistical analysis about credit, insurance and fraud; and market research.
I hereby warrant that the information contained in this application is true and accurate and authorise Wessex Fleet Solutions Ltd to make all enquiries to verify the information to enable the lender to consider this application. I understand that the lender reserves the right to decline this application.
